Welcome to Rosy Nutrition

A bunch of pink roses on a white background.

Rosy Nutrition is the brand name of nutritional therapist Laura O'Rourke. (That's me!). I am based in Whakatu Nelson, New Zealand, and I work with clients across the country and worldwide through online nutritional therapy consultations.

As a journalist in a past life (i.e. for the last decade), I can't quite believe it's taken me this long to start a blog. Luckily, through my work as a lifestyle journalist - you can read more about my story here - I discovered a love for all things health and nutrition, and now I'm able to combine this and my fondness for writing right here.

Rosy Nutrition was born from a desire to make people feel better about themselves from the inside out. After discovering the healing benefits of food myself, this led me back to university where I completed a PgDip in nutrition and lifestyle medicine. I am currently completing an MSc in the same topic. I believe in a food first approach, meaning that we will look to target the symptoms you may have been experiencing, or the goals you want to reach, by analysing the food you consume. You can find out more about my approach in the Work With Me section, and you can understand a bit more about what Nutritional Therapy is in the About section.

So, why did I call myself 'Rosy Nutrition'? When coming up with a name for the business I wanted it to both reflect myself, and how I wanted my clients to feel. Anyone who knows me knows how much I love flowers, and the term 'rosy' means indicative of good health, and a future that it bright and optimistic. It felt like the perfect fit.

If you haven't already, please check out my consultation and Nutritional Therapy packages here, and if you would like to start working together to support you in feeling like the best version of yourself, you can book an initial consultation with me here. Otherwise, feel free to send me a message via my contact page for more information.

Thanks for reading and be sure to check back here regularly for health guides, detailed explainers, recipes, and meal ideas.

Remember: fibre is your friend.
